When we view life through a Christian Existentialism lens, we confront the need for a Ground to our Being.
We can only resist the powers of non-Being by the presence of a Being outside ourselves. This view of God is true regardless of someone’s particular dogmatic beliefs.
It is a lived experience that the language of God makes the most sense of. We see this in the answer in Psalm 22 to the Cry of Dereliction that opens the psalm.
