The First Congregational Church Endowment is a Texas non-profit corporation operated exclusively for religious and charitable purposes tied to the life and work of First Congregational Church of Houston. Supported by generous donations from church members and friends, the endowment welcomes grant requests that further FCC’s goal of serving our members, our community and our world, toward justice and peace for all people.
The Endowment Board meets four times each year to review grant requests. A signed request for a grant should be turned in two weeks ahead of the published meeting date in order to be considered at the next meeting. Requests must be endorsed by a Board of First Congregational Church; documentation of this approval in the form of board minutes must be included with the request. Past grants have included support of local charities with which the church has a relationship, including The Woods Project, Memorial Area Ministries, Westside Homeless Partnership, and many others. Educational opportunities for our staff have also been supported.
Grant requests should be completed on the form [link to application PDF] and returned to email@example.com to the attention of the Chair of the Endowment Board.
