The Campus Beautification Committee (CBC) was constituted because David Knickel left a bequest to FCC and one of his particular interests was the landscape of FCC and particularly the development of a Master Plan by a Landscape Architect. He and Ed loved beautiful things, especially trees and gardens, and he wanted his bequest to make a lasting impact on FCC. On the FCC campus, there are a few elements that are reaching the end of their expected useful life: the deck, the covered walkways, the playground equipment, and the Heritage Walkway. Over the next several years, we will need to address these elements, and considering the campus as a whole rather than focusing on each element is better stewardship than dealing with each separately in the long run. We have asked White Oak Studios to look at the campus with several long-term objectives in mind and those will be laid out here starting on August 22.
