Deacon's Retreat on March 6th
from 9:00AM to 12 PM in the Assembly Room. New deacons
will learn the mechanics of preparing the Meeting House for services. One Great Hour of Sharing is March 14th
is the special mission offering of the UCC that carries
God's message of love an hope to people in more than eighty countries.
Church-Wide Work Day on March 20th
come and help members and friends of FCC beginning at
9:00 AM for the Spring spruce-up. Lunch will be provided. See
page 7 of the Meeting House News for more information. Special Mission Sponsored Reception for Hans and Suse Jahns
during Coffee, Tea and Conversation on March 21st.
See the tribute here. It is Chili Cook-Off time at FCC
on March 26th. Cook your best recipe and bring it to the Assembly Room
on the 26th at 6:30 PM. We will have a contest to determine which
chili is the best. A great time for the whole family. Palm Sunday, March 28th is FCC's 55th
Anniversary! Coming in April Maundy Thursday Worship Service on April 1st
at 7:30 PM in the Meeting House.
Women's Retreat April 16-18 at
Slumber Falls Camp The Rev. Ken
Richter's Installation Service is April 18th The
Houston Association of the UCC will gather with our congregation at 3:00 PM
to participate in the installation of Ken Richter as the Senior Minister of
First Congregational Church. A reception will follow.

FCC to join UCC Companion Communities -Sponsored
by the Board of Church in Society, FCC has committed to be a Host Church for
the Companion Communities, a 10 week summer program for young adults.
At least 2 volunteers from around the country will come to Houston and work
in our community in service organizations.
Seekers meeting on Wednesdays-We
are a small group of spiritual seekers who meet on Wednesday evenings for
brown bag supper (6:00 p.m.), sharing feelings and concerns, book study and
prayer (6:30 ‘til about 8:00) If you are
interested, please call Sylvia Richards at 713-461-7650. All are welcome! FCC is a host for
Angel Food Ministries.
