Prior to coming to FCC, I had always lamented the lack of hymns that reflect the theology of our day.  It was usually impossible to find hymns that fit my sermons!

Hymns of Truth and Light is a tremendous gift.   The variety it includes, the language it embraces, the theology it holds is truly remarkable.  Its use enriches our worship experience and helps us sing with enthusiasm and energy.  Above all, it helps us sing of God's love, hope, peace and joy, and it helps us make harmony together in a world where chaos seems to reign.

Since most of our worship is done in words engaging the rational, music and hymns become essential elements as they engage our non-rational side, as they touch our hearts and emotions, our wounded places and spirits.  Music by nature lifts us to transcendence.
