The Mission of FCC
states that as individuals and a community, members:
Seek to follow
Christ's way through worship and service;
Welcome all into
an inclusive community;
Support one
another on our faith journeys;
Search for more
light and truth from God's Word; and
Strive for peace
and justice in the world.
The Endowment
provides a means to leave a lasting testament to the values,
programs, and life of FCC independent of yearly giving.
. As a legal
entity separate from the First Congregational Church, Houston, its
mandate is to conduct its business of funding worthwhile
benevolences outside of the operations and stewardship of the
Church. It welcomes free will donations and memorials made to any
of the specific restricted funds or to the general corpus of the
Endowment. Bequests may also be made to the FCC Endowment Fund.
We ask that the Board be notified of such in writing by the person
wishing to make the bequest, and the location at which probate
would most likely occur.
Donations to the
Endowment Fund may also be made by beneficiary designation from
life insurance policies, investment or retirement funds, and by
outright gifts of stocks, bonds, CDs or cash. Gifts of $20,000 or
more may be used to establish a restricted fund named and
dedicated to a specific use (consistent with the purposes of the
Endowment Fund.)
