Memorial Gifts Committee
The Mayflower has landed
at FCC - A glass mosaic was installed, July 11, 2007, on the west side of
the office building in the arch above the Senior Minister's office.
Tom Greacen, architect for the Meeting House and for the office addition,
called for the glass mosaic in the original plan. The Memorial Gifts
Committee, with help from the Endowment Fund, commissioned local mosaic
artist, Karen Bobetic, to complete the project. The mosaic depicts the
1620 arrival of the Pilgrim ship, the Mayflower. The sunrise
represents the dawn of efforts in the New World to search for "yet more
truth and light to break forth from His word". On Pilgrim Sunday,
November 18, there was a formal dedication of the new glass mosaic.

The purpose of the Memorial Gifts Committee is to seek to use
memorial gifts for relatively permanent improvements at First Congregational
Church.
