Composition and Functions of the Endowment Board

 

The Endowment Board is composed of nine members, the composition of which can only be changed by vote of the Congregation. Three Board members are elected annually to three year terms by the Congregation, which term may be extended to six years by similar vote.  The Board then meets to elect the chair, vice chair, secretary and treasurer.  Generally, four meetings are held each year, in February, May, September and November.

 

The Endowment Board is charged with the following duties:

 

  1. To receive and decide upon applications for grants from Endowment funds
  2. To make decisions about the investment of the money within the corpus and
  3.  To increase the corpus value, if possible.
  4. To solicit and accept donations to the Endowment
