Church in Society
| The Board of Church in Society is the FCC link to community affairs
and is very involved with TMO (The Metropolitan Organization).
This is a broad -based ethnically and geographically diverse
community organization of churches and other institutions to give
people a voice in the decisions being made which affect their
families, their communities, and their institutions. It is
non-partisan, never endorsing candidates or political parties.
From Intolerance to
Community
An outgrowth of the Church in Society Committee work is a new and
exciting FCC ministry called “From Intolerance to Community”.
The purpose of this ministry is to explore the pervasiveness of
intolerance in ourselves and in our community and identify ways to
move towards becoming a community of respect.
Coming in the Summer of 2010, FCC will become a
host church for the Companion Communities, a 10 week summer program
in collaboration with UCC. For more information see the
