| Activities Committee
While
spiritual nourishment is an important aspect of life at FCC, it’s also
essential to build community and have fun. The Activities Committee is
responsible for planning the annual all-church Christmas dinner and gift
exchange, the May picnic, potluck dinners, and biannual retreats at Slumber
Falls in New Braunfels. Members have organized trips to Stages Theatre to
see their excellent productions.
Important for the Sunday life of the church, the Committee recruits and
coordinates volunteer servers for after-church Coffee, Tea, and
Conversation. Supporting the milestone events, it plans and hosts
receptions for weddings and memorial services.
The
dedicated volunteers on this committee enjoy serving others in many
capacities. To fund the modest expenses of parties and potlucks, they hold
book sales at our annual Pilgrim Festival.
