Mission, Vision, and Value Statements for the CE Program

Mission Statement: The Christian Education Ministry of the First Congregational Church of Houston provides an engaging and spiritual environment that draws people into a journey of faith by:

• Supporting spiritual growth for all ages through sharing our faith in a safe, Christian community,
• Striving to instill a heart for mission work and social justice in Houston and the world,
• Encouraging thought and reflection on how “God is still speaking”,
• Exploring the Bible and progressive Christian theology, and

• Extending an extravagant welcome to all, regardless of ethnicity, race, or sexual orientation.

Vision Statement:

FCC’s vision for Christian Education is an open and welcoming program that nurtures individual journeys of faith through mission projects, social action, and spiritual and mindful exploration of traditional and progressive Christian theologies.
